Totally Turkey!

Last night we had a Thanksgiving Dinner here at Itayanagi church. All day yesterday we were busy cooking pies and turkeys and all the good food people like to eat at Thanksgiving. A lot of people turned up...which was really encouraging. Several of my English students came and for some of them it was their first time in the church or at a church related meeting. We ate, and then Martin did a short talk about being thankful to God for his many blessings. We played a few games and sung a couple of songs. Basically it was just a real encouragement to be able to see the fruit of the relationships we have been building this year. OK, so no one came to faith last night, but the next stepping stone was laid...and it is truly a blessing that God can use me to be part of the stone laying process. I hope and pray that these people who came last night would see the difference in the Christians they have come into contact with and that they would want that for themselves.

So yea, the night was awesome. The turkey was...hmmm well if you know me, you know my experience with turkey.....

I`m down with the whole idea of Thanksgiving....we should adopt it in NZ....a time to remember all God`s blessings and to say THANK YOU!
